How to Transform your Mountain Home with Modern Rustic Art
I love little modern rustic touches in my home. I really think that it makes a home feel cozy especially in the Fall...when the leaves are falling outside and I have a big cup of hot cocoa in my hands.
Living in the mountains, I see modern rustic art all the time, but in my opinion it usually lacks a certain sleekness that I need in order to feel like I'm living in modern times. That's why I designed my abstract canvas prints to be rustic but also modern enough that they could accentuate a modern industrial loft but also a rather modern home where the owner simply wants a little rustic touch.
Adding Touches of Rustic with Modern Rustic Art
Modern rustic canvas prints are wonderfully versatile. For example they add a vibrancy to a neutral living room (see left bottom image) or give texture to a sleek modern mountain home (see right bottom image). I personally like the more dramatic uses of modern canvas prints to really takes rooms to the next level. For example in the top left image the set of 4 large square canvas prints above the creamy beige leather couch accentuates the room's tall ceiling and nicely counterbalances the leather couch's low-set design.
As you can see above, I've designed the collection to also be versatile in terms of the sizes and combinations available. As a lover of interior design, I understand how certain spaces require different art sizes and shapes. That's why the collection comes in squares, rectangles and sets in either and in a huge variety of dimensions.
Using Subtle Rustic Prints to Accentuate Modern Rooms
In more modern homes, neutral rustic prints can really bring a subtle homey feel. For me this is especially important in hallways where I don't want a big statement but rather a soothing textural feeling when I walk from one room to the next. In the two hallway images above chairs provide the splash of color that gives a lively modern feel to the spaces while the neutral modern canvas prints provide a counterbalance of beige texture. Put together this means that the spaces are both cozy and modern all at the same time! In the dining room image, the large neutral rustic canvas print balances the wooden support on the table but at the same time also posses the sleek neutral quality of the rest of the room bringing a peaceful feeling to the room.
Modern Rustic Canvas Art in Unexpected Places
One of my favorite things about abstract textural art and more specifically rustic textural art is that it can look great even in the most unexpected places. For examples, these red, brown and white prints add an unexpected pop to these children's bedrooms. They bring color and a sense of liveliness to rooms that otherwise can become overly cute. Instead they have a great stylish feeling that kind of reminds me of pictures of outer space, which kids love.
