How do you Want to Feel when you Come Home?

After a long day at work or a weekend away from home...how do you want to feel when you come home? When I ask people this their answers vary somewhat but they all have one word in common...they all want to feel welcome.

Feeling welcome in your home to me is what coming home is all about. Our homes are our sanctuaries. They're where we come to recharge. Where we spend time with our family. And where we dream.

It's for these reasons that I believe that when we open our front door we should be met with furniture, artwork and accessories that make us feel positive and most importantly make us feel like it's our home that we're coming home to....not one that we saw in a catalogue...or that our mothers would approve of....but one that inspires you and makes you smile.

This doesn't mean that you have to all of sudden become an interior designer or have a perfect entranceway...the best entranceways aren't perfect....they're inspiring, have beautiful containers for messy lives and look like someone loving lives in the house.

I myself have a messy life. I have a dog that loves to run around in the mud, artist friends who come over with dirty overalls, and stacks of mail that it takes me days to get through. That's why I design entranceways for life....I pick out beautiful things that not only serve as inspiration when you walk through the door, but baskets and racks that help you organize your everyday. I believe that homes should combine beauty and practicality....why sacrifice when you don't have to....

So with this in mind, here are links to all of my current entranceway designs. Go through them. Find inspiration. Find what works for you. But most of all find what makes you feel welcome.
